VOLUNTEER
Are you looking for ways to get involved with the At Home With Haydn community? Volunteers are an essential component to the success of At Home With Haydn. If you are interested in volunteering please review the following descriptions below for various volunteer opportunities and email adam@ahwh.org for more info. (Note that the volunteer needs change with each series).
ARTIST ASSISTANCE
Meal Donors | We are grateful for our meal donors who help provide for our artists while they are in town. This could include hosting a meal for musicians at your home, dropping off a meal to eat in between rehearsals or sponsoring a “meal on the go” when we are in between concerts or outreach events.
Housing Artists | Depending on the series and how many musicians are traveling from out of town, we sometimes are in need of volunteers to host musicians. Housing volunteers would need to live within a 10-15 minute drive from Mendota Heights and would also help to provide transportation for the musician(s) they are hosting.
Artist Transportation | Our artists travel from all over the country and oftentimes do not have transportation in town. Travel volunteering may include picking/dropping off artists at the airport or helping with transportation to and from concerts/outreach events.
CONCERT VOLUNTEERS
Concert Hosts | We are grateful to all of our wonderful previous concert hosts. Concerts usually take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays of concert series weekends with attendance typically between 30-60 people per concert.
Concert Setup/Tear Down | We often have concerts in people’s personal homes that are not “set up” for a concert. Volunteers help to set up for concerts including chairs, food/beverage tables as well as to help clean up and tear down after the events are finished.
Supplies | Depending on the concert venue, we are often in need of extra seating as well as supplies to serve food/beverages.
